BREATH AND HUNGER

breath and hunger

stand at the gate
wander round in wonder
plants in the garden
with music they grow
in morning sunlight
little seedlings to sow
hunger burns and yearns
never sleeps always keeps
a fan to the living furnace
a moment to a minute
to an hour to a day
breath like time
comes in goes out
